Caisa - International Cultural Centre

Directorate of Immigration
Provides information regarding immigration and refugee matters, Finnish citizenship and maintains a register of aliens.

Emergency Services - City of Helsinki
Provides information, location and contact persons to seek help regarding crisis intervention services here in Helsinki, potentially able to provide reference points for other areas of the country.

Employment Office
Arranges jobs, advises on choice of profession, training and other work-related matters.

Finnish immigration service Primarily involved in the integration of immigrants, the reception of asylum seekers and refugees, the placement of refugees in the municipalities, work permit issues, the promotion of employment for immigrants, return migration, issues concerning expatriate Finns, as well as related information and publishing activities. The site also provides information for people moving to and from Finland.

Finnish Refugee Council
A non-governmental organisation over 30 years old which co-operates with Finnish authorities and organisations as well as different international organisations, such as the United Nations refugee organisation, UNHCR. In Finland, their main tasks are to provide training and information, impact public attitudes through education, raise funds for refugees and influence national refugee policies.

Finnish Tax Administration
Comprises the National Board of Taxes and 9 regional tax offices. Operating under the regional tax offices are local tax offices and the tax levying, payment control and tax auditing units, as well as other such units dealing with centralized tasks.

Hakunila International Society
Their objective is to promote the awareness and knowledge of the different cultures and advance multicultural activity in the Helsinki area. Their help desk works to help all foreigners living in Hakunila and outside Hakunila area. They provide information and counselling in matters such as social issues, study, courses, work matters, crises and other problems.
