For Parents
If you are concerned about your child regarding intoxicant-related problems, you will not be left alone. Look for help at the youth centre or an A-Clinic in your municipality, you can always turn to them with any questions regarding intoxicants. The services are free of charge and confidential. Help at A-Clinics and youth centres is provided by e.g. nurses, social therapists and doctors. These centres can help the whole family. Treatment is a voluntary basis.
Here is a list of all the A-Clinic Foundation's A-Clinics in Finland. It's in Finnish but 'nuorisoasema' means youth station. You can also find more information on youth treatment centres here (in Finnish). If your municipality does not have these services, you can also contact a health centre to discuss the problem with a doctor.
